Hi, I’m Alborz Rafie, a composer, sound artist, and Kamancheh player based in Tehran. I love exploring the rich world of Iranian traditional music and bringing it to life in modern soundscapes.

Since 2003, the Kamancheh has been my companion, shaping my journey through both classical radifs and folk sound cultures. My work spans documentary films, art projects, and experimental sound design, blending tradition with contemporary storytelling.

I’m passionate about creating unique auditory experiences that connect listeners with the soul of Iranian music while embracing new ways to hear and feel sound
